Carrier's exclusive EnviroTuff rust-proof base-is made from a high-tech composite material. The sloped drain pan design improves drainage and helps inhibit mold, algae and bacterial build-up.

Galvanized steel cabinet with wire grill-protects the coil against potential hazards often associated with outdoor installation.

Optional electric strip heater-ads an electrical resistance heating element for those extreme outdoor conditions. Offered in regular straight cooling package units or heat pumps, and in a variety of sizes, depending on your heating needs.

Efficiency

Carrier is an ENERGY STAR® partner.

Because heat pumps provide both heating & cooling, their efficiency is measured with two distinct ratings. While in the cooling mode, heat pumps receive a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio or SEER number. SEER is like gas mileage. The higher the gas mileage or SEER, the more efficient the automobile or a/c system is.
For every $100 you spend using a 10 SEER packaged system, a 13.0 SEER system should cost about $77. Actual savings will depend on the efficiency of your current system compared to the efficiency of a new system.

Filter drier-constantly filters the refrigerant to remove moisture and other contaminants from the refrigerant system that can harm your system.
