The Jacob Heating & Air Conditioning Story
1921 to 1950
In 1921, Rudolph Jacob founded Jacob Sheet Metal Works, DeLand’s trusted source for ductwork, metal roofing, and gutter fabrication and installation. Local homeowners and business owners knew Rudolph and his team for their commitment to providing reliable service and high-quality workmanship.
1951 to 1998
Rudolph’s sons, Paul and Ervin Jacob, saw a growing need in the community for DeLand-based heating and air conditioning equipment experts that property owners could trust.
In the 1950s and 60s, Paul and Ervin reshaped Jacob Sheet Metal Works to offer expert heating and air conditioning installation services for local homes and businesses. They applied their decades of experience fabricating efficient heating ductwork to develop expertise in installing the newest HVAC equipment models.
Robert Jacob (Paul’s son) later joined the firm in 1974. He was deeply inspired by the company’s long history of listening to and caring for the evolving needs of the local community. Robert committed to bringing the company’s old-fashioned, traditional values of honesty and prompt service into a new era of the firm’s history.
1998 to Present Day
In 1998, Robert, the new president of Jacob Sheet Metal Works, created a branch of the business to meet the community’s expanding air conditioning and heating repair, installation, and maintenance needs.
