Air Conditioning Maintenance in DeLand, FL 32720

We have recently changed our HVAC service provider to JACOB, from another company (who I will not name, because they were actually pretty good over the years). We contacted Jacob for a second estimate after our existing company recommended replacing our unit (it was working fine) due to age and deterioration.

We were with our previous company since 2016, and while our unit was in great running order, they were wonderful about keeping our AC “maintained” at a fair price. As the years went on, they started high pressure sales pitches to add features, upgrades and finally a whole new unit… (ours is now 13 years old, but running fine). When we told them we were going to get a few quotes before deciding, the other company went into high pressure mode with scare tactics, which we did NOT appreciate.

Alex from JACOB came out to offer a second quote for the cost of a new unit. He was about as low pressure as you get, and he instilled confidence. I didn’t feel under any pressure to buy a new unit and he presented great info on maintaining and replacing our unit. In fact, he agreed with us, that as long as it’s working fine, there is no urgent need to replace it. We liked their quote, and decided that if we did need to replace the whole unit, JACOB had the better quote.

My husband and I discussed everything, and we decided to change our maintenance plan to JACOB now, and when our unit finally “dies a natural death”, we will merely grab an updated quote and go with JACOB.

So we had our first maintenance appointment a few days ago with Jabin and Sam. They were prompt, professional, courteous and even offered some great tips to help maintain our unit. I think we made the right decision.

JJ is a great technician, and the company provides honest, up front information, service, and pricing. Edit: I just had a reason to get emergency AC service. Jacob's offered same-day, after-hours service. There was a cancellation earlier in the day, and the Jacob's staff coordinated and communicated an earlier service appointment. Jabin M arrived shortly, and was speedy with his analysis and troubleshooting.

Haha, laughing at reviews. Jacobs installed a new AC For us. The condenser outside, which has a door was placed with the door flat against the house.? Not accessible. Failed inspection. Inside the house, the air return constantly dripped water. I called Jacobs and was told I complain too much and not to call again. Good luck with them. Remember, BAD reviews can be deleted from Google.

My very old central air conditioning's blower failed. Jacob technician arrived within the promised time window and through troubleshooting determined the problem was a dead motor. The main office was given the info on the part needed and even though the A/C was decades old, Jacob found a new-in-the-box motor and had it overnighted to Deland. The next day another tech arrived fully briefed on what he was to do and swapped out the motor, cleaned the fan unit and operationally tested everything. Bottom line, my A/C is running better than ever with cold air reaching the far side of the house that never got cool. I'm 100% happy with Jacob and would recommend them to anyone.

I needed to replace my 14 year old A/C unit. Called Jacobs, received a great price and install was completed in one week. Technicians John and Brian were very thorough, informative and the install was done in less than 4 hours. Everything was clean and neat when finished. Great job! Hire Jacobs, you'll be glad you did.

Debbie asked if we would like a window unit delivered while we waited and sent a delightful young man named Eli to install it.
